Kitchen designer training: Making the right choices and avoiding mistakes<\/h1><\/div>

Renovating a kitchen involves a multitude of decisions.<\/p>\n

The choice of countertop, sink, faucet, hardware, lighting, electricity and even flooring can have a significant impact on your project.<\/p>\n

This training brings together the very families of decisions where we most often see costly mistakes.<\/p>\n

The goal: to help you better understand the different possibilities, the questions to ask and the elements to consider before making your choices.<\/p>\n

The counters<\/h3>\n

The counter is one of the important decisions in a kitchen.<\/p>\n

Quartz, stone, porcelain, solid surface and other materials: the possibilities are numerous and each has its particularities.<\/p>\n

In the training, we review the different surfaces according to their resistance to heat, their actual maintenance and their evolution over time.<\/p>\n

We also address the important questions to ask the supplier before signing.<\/p>\n

What question should you ask about the origin of a stone before buying it?<\/p>\n

Why can certain surfaces react differently to heat?<\/p>\n

Why can the chosen thickness have a significant influence on the price?<\/p>\n

The goal is to allow you to choose a countertop surface according to your budget, your use of the kitchen and the level of maintenance you really want.<\/p>\n

The sinks, taps, and hardware<\/h3>\n

We then move on to what we like to call the kitchen jewels.<\/p>\n

The sink, faucet, handles and hardware may seem like small details, but they are part of the items you will use constantly.<\/p>\n

How to choose the tank, the type of assembly and accessories?<\/p>\n

How to recognize a quality faucet?<\/p>\n

How to match different finishes without creating a false note in your decor?<\/p>\n

We also address some realities that are sometimes only discovered after the installation, such as scratches that can appear on a new sink or certain finishes that voluntarily evolve over time.<\/p>\n

The training also helps to better understand which hardware is really worth the investment and which elements are more accessory.<\/p>\n

Lighting and electricity<\/h3>\n

Lighting and electricity are some of the elements that many people discover too late in their renovation project.<\/p>\n

However, these decisions should be considered well before the installation of the kitchen.<\/p>\n

We discuss lighting by zones, the different light temperatures and their effects in a kitchen as well as the height of the suspensions above an island.<\/p>\n

We are also interested in sockets and switches.<\/p>\n

The course ends on the ground.<\/p>\n

The choice of a floor should not only be based on a photo or its appearance.<\/p>\n

Your family, pets, daily life and patience with maintenance can all influence the choice of siding.<\/p>\n

You also have to consider what is under the floor.<\/p>\n

Subflooring can impose certain constraints even before you choose your siding.<\/p>\n

The transitions between the different rooms must also be thought through in order to achieve a coherent and well-planned result.<\/p>\n
