How can I renovate my kitchen and bathroom in covid-19 time ?

Renovation projects require a lot of planning, especially those involving a kitchen or bathroom because they contain so many specific elements.

With the current pandemic situation, whether in Québec or elsewhere in the world, it is essential to be well prepared when planning our renovations, for the following reasons :

· Factories are experiencing production delays due to their closures in 2020 and, in addition, we are currently seeing an increase in demand for products;

· In 2021, the manufacturing sector will have to deal with new factors such as staff shortages. This factor will be exacerbated by preventive measures against covid-19, absenteeism due to the symptoms of this disease and the reduced availability of workers, who will have to stay at home because of their family situations;

· On a global scale, it is difficult to source certain materials (ceramics, cabinet materials, stone countertops, sanitaryware and others) that are essential to our kitchen and bathroom renovation projects in Quebec.

All these factors will lead to considerable delays in production and delivery to renovation sites, as well as additional costs. That’s why it’ s strongly recommended that you allow 2 to 3 months to order all the necessary renovation components in advance. This is essential to avoid creating additional delays when the time comes to carry out certain stages of your project. Here is a list of the items you may need for your renovation :

Kitchen :

– Ceramic floor and wall tiles ;
– Sink unit ;
– Faucet ;
– Made-to-measure furniture (includes cupboard, installation and counter) ;
